Nutrivitas®Vitamin B7 (D-Biotin/Vitamin H) Health Benefits:
Nutrivitas®Vitamin B7, also known as biotin, vitamin H and coenzyme R, is a water-soluble vitamin. It is an essential substance for the synthesis of vitamin C, an indispensable substance for the normal metabolism of fat and protein, and a nutrient necessary for maintaining of the body's natural growth, development and normal bodily functions.
■ Source
Vitam In 1901, Wildiers discovered a substance necessary for the growth of yeast which he called "biotin", and in 1933, when Allison and others were studying the growth of legume rhizobia, they isolated a nitrogen-fixing bacterium which they called "auxin R". In 1937, the Hungarian scientist Gyorgy found a substance that can prevent the adverse effects caused by raw egg white, named this substance as vitamin R. In 1940, Gyorgy and colleagues confirmed through experimental studies that coenzyme R, biotin, vitamin H and biotin are the same substance, and then proved that biotin is an essential nutrient for mammals. In 1942, Vigneaud et al. proposed the chemical structure of biotin, which was analysed and found to be identical to the new molecule. Analysis showed that the molecule had similar properties and characteristics to the newly discovered B vitamin family, so it was renamed vitamin B7 and biotin became its official chemical name. Biotin was synthesised artificially in 1943.
Foods such as liver, eggs, bananas, yeast, avocados, peanuts, salmon and sunflower seeds, egg yolks, sardines, bananas, cauliflower, milk, strawberries and mushrooms are rich sources of biotin.

Production technology description:
●Biotin synthesis methods mainly include natural synthesis pathways and chemical synthesis methods. The natural synthesis pathway is mainly realised by microbial fermentation. It involves selecting high biotin-producing strains from known strains for cultivation, preparing a medium suitable for microbial growth and biotin production, inoculating the medium with the selected strains, extracting the biotin after a period of fermentation and isolating the impurities, and then removing the impurities by crystallisation, filtration, distillation, etc. to obtain pure biotin. Chemical synthesis methods involve combining biotin with other compounds through covalent bonds to form complex molecules.
Nutrivitas®Vitamin B7 (D-Biotin/Vitamin H) 5% powder is based on a dry blend of calcium hydrogen phosphate and microcrystalline cellulose.
Nutrivitas®Vitamin B7 (D-Biotin/Vitamin H) 2% powder is based on modified starch, stabilised with potassium sorbate and spray dried.
Nutrivitas®Vitamin B7 (D-Biotin/Vitamin H) 1% powder is based on a dry blend of calcium hydrogen phosphate or maltodextrin, stabilised with vitamin C and spray dried.

Nutrivitas®Vitamin B7 (D-Biotin/Vitamin H) can be used as an adjunct treatment for vitamin B7 deficiency, homocysteinemia and nutritional anaemia. It improves the symptoms of eczema, dermatitis and alopecia and promotes normalisation of the stratum corneum.
Common pharmaceutical dosage forms include tablets/capsules, which are suitable for long-term supplementation. For patients with severe deficiency, it is administered directly intravenously for rapid biotin supplementation.
Nutrivitas®Vitamin B7 (D-Biotin/Vitamin H) Applications:
Nutrivitas®Vitamin B7 (D-Biotin/Vitamin H) can be used as a dough improver to improve the elasticity, extensibility and fermentability of the dough, making the bread and pastries produced fluffier and with a better texture. Biotin can be used as a meat preservative to extend the shelf life of meat products. It can inhibit fat oxidation and preserve the colour and flavour of meat products. Biotin can be used as a clarifying agent to precipitate suspended solids and impurities in beverages and improve the clarity of the product. Meanwhile, biotin can also improve the flavour and stability of fruit and vegetable juices. Biotin can be used as a dairy stabiliser to improve the texture and stability of dairy products, making them silkier and more digestible.
Nutrivitas®Vitamin B7 (D-Biotin/Vitamin H) is commonly available in powder form, blended into solid drinks, supplements or premixes. It is dissolved and used in functional drinks or liquid fortified products.
Nutrivitas®Vitamin B7 (D-Biotin/Vitamin H) is an important coenzyme in the intermediate metabolism of sugars, proteins and fats, and participates in the mutual conversion of carbohydrates and proteins to maintain normal metabolism in the body.
Nutrivitas®Vitamin B7 (D-Biotin/Vitamin H) can enhance the body's immune response, stabilise the lysosomal membrane of normal tissues, maintain the body's humoral immunity, cellular immunity and influence the secretion of a range of cytokines.
Nutrivitas®Vitamin B7 (D-Biotin/Vitamin H) can maintain normal growth and development. Biotin deficiency is associated with reduced reproductive function, poor bone growth, and impaired growth and development of embryos and young children. Biotin can also promote the health of sweat glands, nerve tissue, bone marrow and male gonads, maintain normal skin and hair function and growth, reduce eczema and dermatitis symptoms, relieve muscle pain, prevent grey hair and hair loss, and help treat baldness.
■ Llipid metabolism
Nutrivitas®Vitamin B7 (D-Biotin/Vitamin H) is involved in fatty acid synthesis as a coenzyme of the shuttle enzyme ethyl phthalide coenzyme A, which catalyses the formation of malonate CoA from ethyl phthalide CoA. This reaction is the first step in fatty acid synthesis, which is then followed by the synthesis of palmitate from malonato-ACP by the cytoplasmic multi-enzyme complex, fatty acid synthetase. In the fatty acid carbon chain elongation reaction, malonyl phthalide-ACP is involved as a supplier of two-carbon units, and malonyl phthalide-ACP is derived from malonyl phthalide CoA, demonstrating that biotin is required for the initiation of fatty acid synthesis and the elongation of fatty acid carbon chains.
Nutrivitas®Vitamin B7 (D-Biotin/Vitamin H) may promote epidermal cell differentiation and repair, improve sensitive skin, acne and skin barrier function. Enhances the efficiency of transdermal absorption of other active ingredients (e.g. ceramide, collagen). Inhibits lipid oxidation, slows skin ageing and improves hydration. Common dosage forms include serums/emulsions, shampoos/hair regrowth products and lyophilised powders.
