Production technology description:

● The synthesis process of Nutrivitas®Vitamin B12 (Methylcobalamin) consists mainly of two steps: reduction and methylation of cyanocobalamin. The main raw materials are high purity cyanocobalamin, sodium borohydride and iodomethane. In a dark room, cyanocobalamin is dissolved in a solvent and heated under nitrogen protection, sodium borohydride reduces cyano to hydroxyl, then the methylation reagent iodomethane is added and the hydroxyl group is methylated to produce methylcobalamin. Repeated crystallisation and precipitation to remove salt shortens the post-reaction treatment time and reduces the possibility of product degradation.

Nutrivitas®Vitamin B12 (Methylcobalamin) can correct megaloblastic anaemia caused by vitamin B12 deficiency and promote red blood cell maturation; treat diabetic peripheral neuropathy, polyneuritis, etc. and promote nerve myelin sheath regeneration and axon repair; reduce blood homocysteine levels and help prevent cardiovascular disease. Nutrivitas®Vitamin B12 (Methylcobalamin) promotes nucleic acid, protein and fat metabolism in nerve tissue, stimulates lecithin synthesis in Shewan's cells, repairs damaged myelin sheaths, improves nerve conduction speed, participates in nucleic acid synthesis and promotes haematopoietic function.
