Nouramicyte®L-Leucine Health Benefits:

Nouramicyte®L-Leucine is an essential amino acid used in protein biosynthesis. It belongs to the aliphatic group of amino acids and is classified as a branched-chain amino acid, along with L-isoleucine and L-valine. It is essential to the body, meaning the body cannot synthesize it and must obtain it through diet.

■ Source

In 1819, French scientist Joseph-Louis Proust first isolated this amino acid in cheese. Subsequently, another scientist, Jean-Baptiste-André Braconnot, crystallized leucine from the acid hydrolysis of muscle and wool, officially naming it. These early studies laid the foundation for subsequent chemical and biological research.

Dietary sources of Nouramicyte®L-Leucine are foods that contain protein, such as meat, dairy products, soy products, and beans and other legumes. The production of amino acids began with the hydrolysis of proteins in 1820. The order of extraction is as follows: L-cysteine, L-histidine, L-leucine, and L-arginine. In 1908, Ikeda discovered that monosodium glutamate is a flavor enhancer. This discovery led to the industrial production of amino acids. In 1957, Japan began using microorganisms to ferment glutamic acid. This development opened a new chapter in the history of amino acid production through microbial fermentation. In the 1960s, the mechanism of L-leucine biosynthesis and its metabolic regulation were elucidated. The biosynthesis of L-leucine and its metabolic regulation mechanism were elucidated one after another in the 1960s.

Production technology description:

The main production methods for L-leucine are fermentation and chemical synthesis. The fermentation method is the most commonly used, offering the advantages of low cost and high yield. L-leucine-producing bacteria are inoculated into an activation medium to obtain activated bacteria. This process involves inoculation, fermentation, culture, extraction, and purification. Nouramicyte®L-Leucine is a high purity product from fermentation sources.

Although more costly, the chemical synthesis method can directly produce L-leucine through specific chemical reactions. The process involves choosing suitable starting materials and carrying out condensation, cyclization, and other reactions under specific catalyst and reaction conditions to obtain L-leucine.

 Promotes muscle synthesis and repair

 Regulates blood sugar balance

Supports wound healing and tissue repair

Nouramicyte®L-Leucine Applications:

Nouramicyte®L-Leucine is primarily used as a nutritional supplement and flavor enhancer in functional foods. It improves the flavor of food and is used in amino acid infusions and comprehensive amino acid preparations.

In pharmaceutical manufacturing,Nouramicyte®L-Leucine is used in health food products, bases, fillers, biopharmaceuticals, and pharmaceutical raw materials. L-leucine can also be used to diagnose and treat idiopathic hypoglycemia in young children and disorders of glucose metabolism. It is also used to treat diseases accompanied by increased hypoglycemia, myasthenia gravis, and psychiatric disorders.

In the feed industry, Nouramicyte®L-Leucine is used as a nutritional supplement for animals to improve their growth and health. It is commonly used in canned pet food, animal feed, nutritional feed and aquaculture feed.

Nouramicyte®L-Leucine can activate the mTOR signaling pathway to directly stimulate muscle protein synthesis and reduce muscle breakdown after exercise. Studies have shown that leucine supplementation can enhance muscle strength, especially for fitness people or patients with muscle atrophy.

Nouramicyte®L-Leucine stabilizes blood sugar levels by stimulating insulin secretion and helping cells absorb glucose. Some studies have shown that moderate supplementation may be beneficial for people with type II diabetes.

Nouramicyte®L-Leucine is involved in collagen synthesis, which accelerates the repair of skin and mucous membranes. It is often used in clinical practice to provide nutritional support to postoperative or trauma patients.

 Provides energy and delays fatigue

As a branched-chain amino acid, Nouramicyte®L-Leucine can be broken down directly by muscles for an energy supply during exercise. This reduces liver glycogen depletion, delays fatigue, and enhances performance.
